Judith Nagel was born in Germany and holds a BA in contemporary dance from the hoogeschool voor de kunsten ArtEZ, in Arnhem (NL). As a freelance dancer she has worked with choreographers and artists such as Roberto Zappala, Christoph Winkler, Canan Erek, Sita Ostheimer, Modjgan Hashemian and Stefan Panhans, among others.. Her own site-specific pieces “Fanny&Felix”, “halle9” and “ver.Schweigen”, which she created in collaboration with other artists, were premiered in her hometown Miltenberg. Furthermore she works as choreographer for film and TV-Series such as “Babylon Berlin” and “Ein Hauch von Amerika”. Since 2020 Judith is a member of re-dance, a platform researching on a sustainable working environment for parental performers. Furthermore Judith got funded in 2021 by the program Dis-Tanz-Solo from Dachverband Tanz to work on her research with the title: “Die Ambiguität des Schweigens - Die unterschiedlichen Dimensionen und Wirkungen des Schweigens in Mutterschaft und Tanz”. In continuity to this research 2022 her dance and music production with the title “ver.Schweigen” got funded by Dis-Tanz-Solo from Dachverband Tanz in the frame of NEUSTART KULTUR and BLZT (Bayerischer Landesverband für zeitgenössischen Tanz)
